A group of 16 leading jewellers from Thailand are returning to Jewellery Arabia 2017 from 21 – 25 November for the fifth consecutive year to dazzle visitors anew with high quality creations and strengthen trade ties with the Middle East.

Coordinated by Vega Intertrade & Exhibitions, the pavilion will emphasise the second-to-none beauty of gems and jewellery creations from Thailand.

“One of the major strengths of Thailand is that it is the world’s most recognised manufacturing base for fine gemstones and jewellery. Thai craftsmen have been known for centuries as remarkable creators of bold and beautiful pieces and, today, these beautiful creations are known by the name of ‘Ploi Thai’. Representing Thailand’s country brand for jewellery design, ‘Ploi Thai’ epitomises high quality and diversified fine jewellery set with gemstones cut, polished and produced in Thailand,” said Tony Kusonwong, Managing Director, Vega Intertrade & Exhibitions.

Bahrain has proved itself as as successful marketplace and entry point to access the wider Gulf markets, he continued. The feedback the Thailand pavilion has received has been very positive, welcoming a large number of visitors, buyers, and traders. Thai companies have also been successful in establishing business connections with regional merchants, reflecting the huge potential for Thai gems and jewellery potential in the Middle East.

Notable highlights at the Thailand pavilion will include the presence of The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), one of the world’s best gemmological labs. GIT will provide visitors with lab services and share knowledge with those seeking trustworthy information about gems and jewellery.
