As part of a mission to educate the public on gems and jewellery, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT)  will conduct complimentary visitor seminars at Jewellery Arabia 2016.

Experienced instructors will offer attendees – ranging from the trade to consumers and connoisseurs – information about different facets of gems and jewellery. Topics will include diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, how to read grading reports and tips when purchasing jewellery.

ABOUT GIA

Established in 1931, GIA is a global institute that ensures the public trust in gems and jewellery through research, education, gemmological laboratory services and instrument development. The GIT seminar is held in collaboration with the GCC Gold & Jewellery Association and the Royal Thai Embassy in Manama, and aims to disseminate useful information and insight acquired through GIT studies and research. Free to attend, the seminar is suitable for entrepreneurs in the gem and jewellery business, related government and private sectors, educational institutes and interested individuals.
