Free Education Seminars

As part of a mission to educate the public on gems and jewellery, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) will conduct complimentary visitor seminars at Jewellery Arabia 2019.

Experienced instructors will offer attendees – ranging from the trade to consumers and connoisseurs – information about different facets of gems and jewellery. Topics will include diamonds, coloured stones, pearls and tips when purchasing jewellery.

Established in 1931, GIA is a global institute and the creator of the famous 4Cs of diamond quality (Colour, Cut, Clarity and Carat weight) and many other international standards.

GIA offers courses in Dubai and conducts regular classes across Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and many other key locations in the region. The Institute’s courses focus on diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, jewellery design, and more. GIA Laboratory’s take-in window in Dubai accepts submissions for grading services for diamonds, coloured stones and pearls from consumers and members of the trade across the Middle East.
