Nikos Koulis

A timeless aura

A timeless aura radiating an iconic future

Nikos Koulis is a Greek designer with worldwide recognition, creating a brand in his namesake, Nikos Koulis Jewels, in 2006. He owns an atelier and boutique in Athens, along with additional boutiques in Mykonos and Paros, reflecting the distinct aesthetic of his work. Having his own workshops and sourcing exquisite stones in special cuts from all around the world, he creates unique pieces for an international clientele who collect jewellery and appraise his aesthetic ethos.

Coming from a family business in jewelry, he first studied Literature and Philosophy and then pursued his affection for the world of jewellery studying Gemology and Glyptography at the Gemological Institute of America. He created his own namesake Maison, Nikos Koulis Jewels, in 2006, showcasing his artistic signature, elaborate technique and deep knowledge in jewellery making.

Among other industry accolades, he has received the GEM Award 2020 in jewellery design, arguably the most prestigious award in the international jewellery industry. He was nominated also in 2018, showcasing the durability and the remarkable level of his work.

His creations can be found in exhibitions and top tier retailers around the world, such as Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Neiman Marcus and Saks in Beverly Hills, Browns in London and in selected jewellery stores in USA, Europe and Middle East.

His press coverage expands in international editions of The New York Times, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Town and Country, Cabana and Vanity Fair. Among others, his loyal fans include H.R.H. Queen Rania of Jordan, Rihanna, Oprah Winfrey, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jane Fonda, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Lawrence and Michelle Obama.

His signature and most celebrated collection, Oui, is a tribute to the Art Deco movement and uses the black enamel as its core element, using a traditional Greek craftsmanship technique that makes it very resistant. In 'Feelings' collection, he redefines the classic pillar of the snake chain and places it in a contemporary context, making soft and sumptuous pieces. His latest collection, ME, is more abstract and sculptural and distills the cool classic. ME pieces are connectors which blend seamlessly with other collections and aesthetics, they make an impact without being loud. They reflect timelessness and a delicate austerity - strong, elegant, beautiful.

Nikos Koulis creations possess a timeless aura that radiates nowness, aiming at an iconic future.
